Takaungu
I had an amazing time with ICROSS. I took a train to the east coast of the country. I was in a sleeper car with a snoring Romanian so I hopped up onto the roof of the train for a bit - quite the experience looking out at the plains. I'll now be in Takaungu for the remainder of my trip working with East African Center. Not a whole lot of time at this point, but I'll update again soon once I've oriented myself here. I'll post pictures as the internet connection allows.

I am thinking about you every day and praying that your soul will be enlarged and strengthened through these experiences. I do hope you are eating better these days! Know that you are loved and missed greatly here in Oregon.

Riding on top of trains. That's a completely approved endeavor, right? As in, no safety concerns, yes?
ReplyDeleteHmm...I sat next to a snoring Bosnian for 12 hours on my flight home last March. I'm anxious to discuss this with you further and find out which of the two was worse. I hope you took pictures while sitting on top of the train. That said, I'm glad you're still alive.
